Quilting

A few years back, my Grandma bought all the Girls in the family a new sewing machine.  Talk about exciting!! I've always sewn on my Mom's archaic one all through my 4, possibly 5 years of sewing camp so I have been hesitant to whip out my less traveled one!  But finally a few weeks back my sister and I got the itch for another craft project and we decided to quilt! I wasn't sure I was ready to commit to a QUILT until Jess took me to a cute fabric boutique where I fell in love with all the different prints!  After that I couldn't get started soon enough!  So I hauled Greg up the road to the store and he even helped me pick out some fabric. Cute huh!  So while the boys had their video game weekend, my sis and I were kept busy with these:
The most tedious part is usually all the cutting out.

Jess' on the left, Mine on the right.
Its so cool and neat how different they both turned out!  They are both the exact same pattern but the different material makes them look nothing alike!  I thought mine looked pretty cute until I saw jess's, and then I decided mine kind of looked like some sort of drunk fiesta.  Just different styles I guess!
Anyway, this was the project that we needed to get our confidence back and now we have so many plans to sew other things and my mind is constantly turning with ideas.  Fun!
